Sicilian “Coffa” Bags
A Coffa is a traditional Sicilian basket made out of ‘curina’, hand-woven palma-nana fibre. Originally the plain basket was carried by farmers on the fields, then artisans started adorning these baskets with trimmings, golden little mirrors and pom-poms, turning it into an authentic Italian piece of art. Tizzini, based in Catania, Sicily, took it a step further, turning a piece of Italian folklore into exclusive luxury, with each piece meticulously hand crafted and embellished, customized and unique.

Shipping time: Tizzini artisanal coffa bags are made-to-order and have an estimated delivery time of 3 weeks. This is the time it usually takes for the artisan in Sicily to make your coffa bag entirely by hand and for the courier to deliver it from Italy to your door. Delivery time may vary, according to material availability and festivity seasons. You will receive an estimated delivery time upon ordering your item and if there is any delay during production, we will let you know.

Returns: if the item has been made-to-order and customized for you, it is not eligible to returns & exchanges. If not customized, you can return the item within 14 days from date of receipt. You can contact our customer service at info@italianaffair.ae and notify your intention to return, indicating your Order Number, item(s) code(s) and reason for return.  The item must not have been worn, used, washed, damaged; it has to be in the same conditions as it was received, with its original tags and properly packaged in its original box. Return shipping charges to the manufacturer’s premises in Italy are not included and are paid by the customer, along with any eventual customs duty and taxes. Tizzini’s handcrafted coffa bags go through a strict quality control, but in the unlikely event of a defect, you can send a photo within 7 days and return it within 14 days from the receipt with a complimentary return shipment on behalf of the manufacturer.
